It is a mixture of a lyric video with rotoscope animation. I tried to focus on imagery rather than being literal. I've always thought it was interesting how there is a juxtaposition of how upbeat the song sounds, but the lyrics are pretty heavy. Admittedly, there are underlying suicidal tones to certain parts of the piece (such as the pills). It may be jarring to some but relatable to others.
The animation and illustrations were done on Procreate and then transferred to After Effects.
